We welcome another new signing for the label for 2018, this time it’s Mexico City based artist Eiesenheim (aka Irving Castillo). What really struck us about these productions is their complex melodic overtones, subtle grooves, and musical quality.

The first track ‘Telemetry Ft. Mel Pómene.’ takes beautiful pianos, synth leads, and bass lines, and melds them together with tight grooves and percussion. There’s enough infectious hooks in here that will keep people’s interest intact and the beauty of the piece is that it could be played in an opening set, or at peak time. A colorful tapestry weaves it all together making it a real winner of a track. The Deep Woods remix takes those elements and ups the funk a bit, driving the drums a bit with a harder smack; very much inline with his sound as of late.

‘Coda’ keeps Eisenheim’s ear for cinematic approaches grounded as squelchy acid type bass plays under the chord progressions anchored by shuffling hats, kick drums, and claps. There’s a element of fantasy in the piece of well, picture big forests with a mountainous backdrop all the while people dancing in unison and sun and clouds fight for space in the sky.

Heavily atmospheric and at the same time groove laden, you won’t want to miss this EP.
