3Bridge Records welcomes Cologne based artist IPI (aka Christian Iparraguirre) with his new EP “Liquid Laser”. It’s 3 tracks of deep, funky, and melodic tech and it’s reminiscent of some of the sounds on the great label Kompakt, based in Cologne as well. The title track hits you with an urgent synth riff that glides over a thick bass line and tripped out vocal snippets. There’s a house music influence here blended well with the alternating claps, sharp hi-hats, and big beats. “Cristal Lake” offers up some lush dub chords, filtering leads, and subtle melody, and the closer “Breezey” is like a steady sunset car ride on a highway. It’s cloaked in big pads and washes with a beautiful piano melody highlighting its beauty.
