New York City mainstays Sleepy & Boo are back with their third EP of 2016 on 3Bridge Records, the ‘In The Moment’ EP. The duo has once again crafted three great pieces of work, each with varying sounds and approaches to their dance floor-based productions.
The title track ‘In The Moment” has been tested on dance floors around the world by Sleepy & Boo all summer, and we’re very excited to drop this one. The track is a dub-influenced dance floor workout, built around a solid bass line and percussive elements. Ethereal pads and dubbed out vocal samples build to a crescendo of arpeggiated leads and a massive bass wobble that makes the crowd erupt. It’s a really nice journey that will have you wanting more at the end. ‘Transform’ follows some of the same motif; the percussion swings on this one a bit more, with just as much tunefulness and groove. An especially catchy old-school house piano and soothing chords on top of it all gives the track a warm and uplifting vibe. ‘Completely Chosen’ rounds things off, veering on the more techno side of the spectrum with punchy chord stabs and subtle melody peppered over the tough sequencing and filtering heard throughout.
