For the last original release on the label in 2020, we bring back the prolific producer, Gatto. His new EP ‘Cosmic Love’ is similar in nature to his previous EP ‘Sleeping Giants’ in that it highlights moody, analog textures with warm, uplifting melodies, and beats. It’s a perfect slice of harmony and calm against the backdrop of a chaotic year.
The title track gently coasts like a boat on an ocean wave in slow motion. Rich, painterly sounds highlight the piece along with deep bass and percussion with splashes of effects traveling in and out of the aural spectrum. Grandiose, yet subtle in its delivery, it’s a must hear. ‘Deep Science’ also echoes these same motifs, but the drums have a more live feel with acoustic hats, snares, and claps filling the spaces between. Big melodic synth pads drive the song home as if you were driving home with a cityscape in the distance after a great night with friends.
